Refund Policy for ALP Membership

At the Association of Library Professionals (ALP), we strive to provide excellent value and service to all our professional members. However, we understand that conditions may arise where a refund may be required. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds for ALP memberships will be granted.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds for ALP memberships will be considered under the following conditions:

  • Cancellation Within the Cooling-Off Period: Members may cancel their membership and request a full refund within 1 day of the subscription date, provided no benefits or services have been utilized during this period.
  • Duplicate Transactions: If a membership fee has been charged more than once due to an online system or processing error, the replica amount will be refunded.

2. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

  • Partial Usage of Benefits: If a member has utilized any benefits, services, or discounts associated with the membership, the membership fee is non-refundable.
  • Beyond Cooling-Off Period: Refund requests made after the 1-day cooling-off period will not be honored unless under exceptional circumstances approved by ALP management.
  • Voluntary Termination: If a member voluntarily terminates their membership outside the cooling-off period without valid justification.

3. Refund Process

To initiate a refund, members must follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Request: Email our support team at president@alpgujarat.org with the “Refund Request.” Include your membership details, the reason for the refund, and any supporting documents.
  2. Review Period: Refund requests will be reviewed within 7 business days of submission. If necessary, ALP may contact you for additional information.
  3. Approval and Processing: Once approved, refunds will be processed within 10 business days via the original payment method.

4. Special Circumstances

In exceptional cases, ALP management reserves the right to approve refunds outside the standard policy. Members must provide compelling reasons and supporting evidence for consideration.
